Sony Ericsson introduced the F305i, which has advanced motion sensor technology, allowing the user to control games with the flick of the wrist, wave of the hand or swing of the arm. It also integrates stereo speakers, a 2.0-inch screen, 2.0-megapixel camera, Bluetooth wireless technology and expandable memory via Memory Stick Micro (M2).
It comes preloaded with Bowling, Fishing and Jockey games. You imitate fishing and bowling motions to control the game.
I’m not sure I like this idea. I mean, sure, this is great with gaming consoles like the Wii, but with a cell phone you won’t be able to see the screen while you are making the movements. It just seems like overkill to me. Are games really that important on cell phones? Besides the occasional Tetris while waiting at the doctor’s office, I rarely even open the game folder on my phone. Cell phones have come a long way, and their ability to help you manage your business and personal life is great, but I really don’t think gaming is something people look at when buying one. How many serious gamers look to cell phones for their fix? I say leave the games to the consoles and computer platforms and let the phones do what they do best, make calls and manage contacts.
