Use Your Music As Ringtone For Free

Want to swap out that annoying default chirping noise your cell phone makes with something more pleasant without shelling out $3.00 per tone to your carrier?
I found a web service called Mobile17. Sign up for a free account, enter your phone model and provider, and upload your own MP3 or M4A file. Choose the point in the song you want the ring to start and how long a clip you’d like. After a wait, Mobile17 will send a file in the proper format to your phone by email or text message. You can then save the attachment as a ring-tone.
One word of caution. There is debate on weather using copyrighted music (even ones you own) as a ring-tone is fair use and therefore illegal, but there has been no definitive court ruling one way or the other. So let Britney ring at your own discretion.
