Movie Label 2008

I have a rather large collection of DVD movies, easily topping the 400 mark.  Recently I have been looking for a good program to organize and catalog my collection.  I came across Movie Label 2008 and downloaded the 14 day trial.

I must say that, although the interface looks a little busy, I am impressed with the ease of use.  You can input the information manually or simply type in the title and the program queries the net for the movie info, pictures and even trailers.  All of this is placed into the database.

It offers a variety of ways when it comes to searching, sorting and filtering.  It also offers the possibility to print a variety of predefined reports as well as export to formats such as HTML, XML and Excel.  You can also print the information shown in a view, exactly as it is shown on the screen.

A nice feature I like is the ability to handle loans for when your friends and family borrow your movies by using the “Loan Manager” feature.  You can even send e-mail reminders to the people you loaned them to!

The only thing that is keeping me from purchasing a registered version is the $50 price tag.  Although I still have 11 days left on my trial so I may wind up buying it.

Thanks, I’ll try this program. I used many movie organizers, and many of them didn’t suit me because of their lack of functionality. Movienizer is the best program for me. Well, it’s just my opinion.
