Flipping the Switch on TDMA (Analog) Cell Service

Today at work I got more than one call from customers with old TDMA (Analog) cell phone service.  These customers signed up in 1996 or before and are still using the same dinasaur of a phone.  That is, until now.  The time has come for cell phone companies, including ATT, to turn off thier old analog service, making room for the other more popular technologies such as 3G and beyond.

Should you, or more likely your parents, still be using the old service, I HIGHLY suggest you upgrade as soon as possible.  The last day we will offer support for the TDMA phones is 2/18/08, nine days from now.  Once the switch is thrown, thier phones will stop working and they risk loosing thier numbers.

ATT has sent out numerous messages via text, letters and in bills to ensure people know about the turn down.  They even started charging an extra $4.99 and then $9.99 extra just for using TDMA.  Yet still people fought the change.  On the 18th I expect we will get numerous calls from angry customers threatning to sue, yadda yadda yadda.

We warned you, now it’s all you!
