We all know it’s here, some love tax time, some hate it. Me, I love it. I’ve always gotten a return so it’s almost like a savings account for me that i withdrawl at the end of the year.
For the past 3 years I have used TaxAct to do my taxes. This is an online based tax assistance program. Best of all, it’s FREE for your federal taxes. you can file, print and e-file your taxes for free.
There is an option to buy a “Deluxe” or “Ultimate” version of the software, which offers extra support such as State Tax help and other options, but for me, the free one works great. It even helped me with my claims for Hurricane Katrina.
This free resource is great and you get your money quickly, directly deposited into an account of your choosing.
