Sigh……

My entry for TechCrunch was denied, I think it will be a wonderful show this year, and I would have loved to have gone.  Over two grand for a conference is just too steep even for this dentist.  The staff at TechCrunch were wonderful, my interviewer was nice, courteous, and fun to talk with.  As great as it would have been to go to TechCrunch as an entrant, part of me that was hoping I would be denied.   If I were selected it would have meant I could talk with no one at Gnomedex about my new site, couldn’t share it, couldn’t talk about it, couldn’t give out accounts.   Now that I have my denial letter in my inbox I’m free!

So I hope to talk with folks at Gnomedex about startups, websites, and the new/old internet.  My site although not fully functional is conceptually complete, and fun to play with.    I’m hoping to pimp it a little at Gnomedex and learn as much as I can there.  Last year I was the odd duck being a dentist at a tech conference.   This year I have an actual tech product! hopefully I can gleen some good advice on how to proceed.
