Notebook templates for OneNote

Since I posted about the page templates, a question has come up on the OneNote board about notebook templates. Creation of notebook templates turns out to be fairly easy:
- Create a new notebook that has the sections you want in it. In each section, create the pages that section needs as base information.
- Do File–> Save As
- Give the notebook a descriptive name. The default name was picked up from your current notebook name, but you can easily change it.
- Change the file type to OneNote Single File Package (onepkg)
- Change the Page Range radio button to Current Notebook
- Change the path to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ONENOTE\12\Notebook Templates
- Click Save
- If you are running on Vista, you may get an error that you don’t have permission to write to this location. If this happens, save the file to your Documents area or your private templates area and then use Windows Explorer to move it to the right place.
- Close the notebook. (I don’t know if you really need to do this step. I do it so that I don’t mess with the notebook unless I need to update the template.)
Next time you create a new notebook, your notebook template should show up.

Hi –
Wondering if there’s a way to create a SECTION template — basically, a collection of different page templates organized in a section?
More than a page template, but less than a notebook template.
Thanks!
