Today I received the new Cradlepoint PHS-300 I ordered. This is a phenominal device. It is a personal WiFi router that allows you to plug in your EVDO or HDSPA (3G) broadband USB modem into it and then share that connection with up to 16 WiFi devices. You can also use your cell phone as a tethered modem to provide the 3G connectivity. You can connect to the WiFi with either 802.11b or 802.11g and includes a complete NAT with SPI firewall. It features 64/128 bit WEP, WPA/WPA2, and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption and supports all operating systems and PDAs with WiFi support. It also includes a Lithium-Ion battery for up to 3 hours of use (ships with an AC adapter but you can also purchase a car-adapter to charge it as well). I use it to connect my MacBook Pro and iPhone on the road allowing me to utilize the faster 3G network with the iPhone. The best of all worlds.

Finally, an External Battery for the iPhone
Mophie is taking pre-orders on their new “Juice Pack” for the iPhone. This is an external rechargeable lithium polymer battery which functions like a non-slip, soft slip case. You can charge the Juice Pack separately from the iPhone. It can also be charged using the iPhone cable or through any iPhone compatible device with a 30-pin dock connector. Sounds like a great product. Time to order mine!

Review: Garmin nuvi 680 Portlable GPS
I did an extensive comparison between all the high-end Garmin models and think that the nuvi 680 is the way to go. Its a steal at Costco. List was around $900 and the lowest price I found online was around $600. Then I found it at Costco for $479.99. Done. Purchased it. I have an Apple iPhone and was amazed how well the 680 integrated with the iPhone. The call coming in is very visible. The Bluetooth functionality on the 680 is great and when you incorporate it with the FM transmitter, its makes the iPhone experience that much better. It comes with a free 1 year subscription to MSN Direct which adds realtime traffic, weather, gas pricing, and movie times to the nuvi 680 with its built-in MSN Direct antenna in the car charger. Received Apple Wireless Keyboard Today
I ordered the new Apple Wireless Keyboard last Thursday and it arrived first thing this morning! This new wireless keyboard is just superb. The feel and touch of the keys is very smooth. Its basically the keyboard layout and keys from the MacBook. Its very small and very thin and sleek. Its actually so compact that you could easily take this keyboard on the go with you along with your MacBook or MacBook Pro. Now, if they can just take the Apple Keyboard (USB) and make it Bluetooth.
PED3 Rotating Stand for iPhone
Recently I discovered a beautiful stand for my Apple iPhone. I had been working at my desk and just laying my iPhone down when syncing it to my MacBook Pro. Always making sure that it either stayed in the leather CaseMate case or I would rest the iPhone on a microfiber cloth before laying it down. The problem is that it just didn’t look esthetically pleasing. So I searched around looking for iPhone stands. I came across the ThoughtOut web site. There it was. The PED3. It was an angled stand similar in shape to the base of the Apple Cinema Displays but in black. I was sold.
At first you realize that this is a pretty heavy stand. Its an all steel construction with a baked on coating. It has a slot in the back that is used for cable management. There are seven rubber coated metal grips allowing for full use of ports and controls and rubber feet to keep it from moving on your desk. It has two angled positions to make it the right angle of view for your height. It rotates infinitely 360 degrees so that you can see the iPhone in landscape or portrait view. Best of all, its made in the USA!
The cost is a bit high at $39.99 but then again, you get what you pay for. ThoughtOut makes other Peds for other devices as well. I give this accessory, two thumbs up. They did a great job with this product.
