RAR Labs just released the seventh beta version of Winrar 3.70.
The advantages of Winrar are its superior compression and capabilities to work with the most common archiving formats such as rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and z. It also has a skinnable interface. This beta is already very stable. In this version shell support for Windows 95 works again. I wonder how many are still using this OS, but it shows Rar Labs cares for their customers, even supporting ‘ancient’ operating systems.
One of the earlier betas solved all issues with Windows Vista, so if you should run this ‘upgraded’ and ‘best windows version to date’ you should have a look at this beta. WinRar is very good at what it does. It’s highly recommended.

I really like this program, but I do wonder why PKZip, the darling of the ’80s and ’90s has not progressed more in response.
