The Squirrel That Has Taken Over The Internet

Have you ever had a moment when you were taking a picture and something unexpected jumped into the frame? Depending on your situation it might have made a picture better or ruined it all together.

Jackson and Mellisa Brandts, a couple from Minnesota, have a very unique story to tell though. As they were traveling through Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada they decided to take a portrait of themselves with lake Minnewanka in the background. They weren’t the only people who wanted their picture taken, though…

Just as the photo was about to be taken, a squirrel decided to pop its head up. Check the image out below!

Here’s what Mellisa Brandts had to say about the weird coincidence:

My husband and I were exploring Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, Canada, when we stopped for a timed picture of the two of us. We had our camera set up on some rocks and were getting ready to take the picture when this curious little ground squirrel appeared, became intrigued with the sound of the focusing camera and popped right into our shot! A once in a lifetime moment! We were laughing about this little guy for days!

If you search for the word squirrel in Google you’ll find that “Nuts”(the squirrel’s nickname), will be your first result. This squirrel has also been featured in a multitude of television entertainment and news shows. It’s amazing how a single picture can get this popular in a matter of weeks.
