Google Soon To Become The Micro-Blogging Search Engine?
A post from the Googlsystem blog has reported today that Google might add another feature to it’s already massive search engine. Apparently, micro blogging search may be next on Google’s to do list. This means that sites like Twitter, Plurk, and Tumblr will all be indexed in a specially designed micro search engine.
To me this isn’t much of a surprise. The search feature on Twitter has proved to be more useful then people initially presumed it to be so it wouldn’t be a shock if Google wanted to take those results and monetize them. I know that I’ve used the Twitter search feature quite frequently to find Tweets on certain topics. If Google is able to do this successfully it will open doors to allow users to search all micro blogging services rather than have results limited to one service like Twitter does.
Much like Google Blog Search, Google’s micro blogging search service will sort the results by relevancy and it also be integrated with Google’s web search engine: the keywords that are frequently used in recent posts will trigger a Micro Blog search universal search group.
I don’t know about you, but in my opinion, this idea of a micro blogging search engine seems to be a a tangible possibility. Feel free to leave your thoughts and opinions on this below.

I agree on the fact that is not a surprise that Google is moving towards microblogging (though I feel that when Google Wave will become available to the public, we’ll see more and more on this topic).
What I fear a little bit (but at the same time I feel attracted by) is that Google is becoming a sort of big blob of things that reminds me Microsoft de facto monopoly we are having now.
Google is doing anything. But will succeed in making this services and tools the standard for the future?
