Has Google Found Our Ancient Past?

A report from the Sun in the United Kingdom today said that the ancient city of Atlantis may have been found. The area in which they are suspicious of lays about 620 miles off the western coast of Africa. What makes this even more awkward? The suspected discovery was found using Google Earth Technology.

Atlantis was believed to be sunk by a devastating earthquake along with severe flooding around 9,700 BC, which by today’s standards is around 12,000 years ago.

Why is this big news? Because this area has been suspected by philosophers to be the proposed location of the historic city.

Google spoke out recently about this discovery saying that the criss-crossing lines (found on the image) were a collection of sonar data from various boats mapping the ocean floor. Images related to this discovery can be found here.

This is very interesting how those intersect lines just show up on Google Earth. It is almost similar to Bimini Road, and underwater rock formation, found near the Bahamas which they speculated could be part of Atlantis also.

I’ve seen the picture. What looks like a grid pattern is an artifact of the way the picture was taken. Recall the Bimini “Road?” It was found that it was a product of the currents of the area. There are “roads” in several areas of the oceans.
