How To Find The Value of Your Website!

Have you ever wondered what the value of your website is? Have you ever been curious in finding how much Google, Facebook, or Twitter’s website could potentially be sold for? Well there’s a way to find out all of that with DnScoop.

What DnScoop does is take a variety of information including the age of your website, the number of links forwarding to your site, and the average amount of traffic you receive. After the total estimated cost, your website would be valued in a domain marketplace.

In my opinion the accuracy of this service isn’t even close to 100%. Take Lockergnome.com for example. According to Dnscoop the total value of Lockergnome is just under 5 million dollars. This of course can’t be deemed accurate as the Alexa page rank (which DnScoop uses to find the amount of traffic going to your site) seems to be rather inaccurate in comparison with other statistical information providers such as Google Analytics, Webalizer etc.

On my personal site, I’veĀ  noticed the information on DnScoop drastically changes within a matter of days. One week I had over 3,000 links forwarding to my site whereas presently I have 2,434.

Although the information provided by DnScoop isn’t totally accurate, it’s still entertaining to find out what websites on the Internet “could” be worth. Do you know of any websites that can find a more accurate diagnosis on the value of one’s website? What’s your site worth?

Very good article, I have tried out many of the different free site apps that tell you the value of a website and with one tha I have I have seen the price anywhere from $79 to $810. These are obviously not very accurate.

I have found that these different site valuators are not accurate at all. Besides the fact that the statistics alone do not make the value of the site what it may truly be.

A great article. It would be good to find a better way to see how much your site is worth as dnscoop keep changing the value of sites and it does not give you much confidence in knowing that the site value is up and down.

These type of sites are worthless, I have seen the same website valued at $1,500 at one site and $47,000 at another. I understand the difficulty of placing a value on a website however if someone could come up with a standard and give more accurate results it would be a great service.
