I’ve installed the Beta 3 of Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition onto a test box today. Installation was a breeze. A couple quickies I have noticed (I won’t get into many details just yet):

It just doesn’t get any better than this. Hands down, WinSnap is the best screen capturing software I’ve found this far. Why not give it a try?

I’ve got a copy of Windows Server 2008 Beta 3. I’ll be installing it on my maintenance box soon to play with it for a while. I’ll have the hoo-haw later, once I’ve had a chance to evaluate it.

Is it me, or are the hardware requirements for Windows Vista a bit on the stringent side? I mean really, 2 gigabytes of RAM don’t even cut it. At work, I’ve been recommending new machines to be equipped with 8 gigabytes of RAM because of Windows Vista, and the bloat associated with it. [...]
