Many Wii hopefuls were laden with sadness last Friday when, after an interview with Nintendo’s U.S. marketing chief George Harrison, it appears as though the price isn’t going anywhere in the foreseeable future. Harrison mentioned the strong success of the Nintendo Wii thus far and claimed that the price will not drop.

The Wii has been selling like crazy; why should they lower the price?

“You can’t find one,” Michael Gartenberg, a JupiterResearch analyst, told TechNewsWorld. “At this point, Nintendo could probably be raising prices, not dropping them, and they would be doing OK.” So sorry, Wii price drop hopefuls, it’s not happening at least until after Christmas.
