iTunes DRM Free Music Price Lowering

In a most strategic move by Apple Steve Jobs has announced plans to drop the price of the new(ish) DRM free and higher bit rate tracks from $1.30 down to .99c. Steve Jobs claims, “It’s been very popular with our customers, and we’re making it even more affordable.” while this is true the reality is most likely that he is feeling the burn from such sites as Amazon.com. Either way it’s great for us consumers. This also means that non DRM tracks are now the same price as DRM’ed tracks. Could this be that Apple is completely doing away with DRM tracks? Let’s wait and see, for now enjoy the new price ;)
