How often do you post?

After bouncing around the net going from blog site to blog site, it became apparent that the blogging community is divided on how often you should post. Some claim you need to post daily, otherwise your audience loses interest and stops coming back.
Others claim that you shouldn’t post that much, instead try posting only 2-3 a week. They claim that when you post less you have more time to devote to making the blog post as good as it could really be. I just recently looked at one on my old blogs (which I recently started back up again to post much more general topics and links.) The blog will also include all of the posts I stick up on here.
As far as posting is concerned I have decided to curtail the amount of posts and side with the fewer posts during the week (do more to my schedule than anything else). But my question is how often do you post? and why?

I would side with the crowd that says posting 2-3 times a week is the thing to do. I have a notebook that I keep my possible post titles and subject matter written in. This gives me a little time to think things through. If I get a whirl of subject matter in a short period of time, I may find myself posting more often but, in general, I try to stick to the 2-3 times a week thing. Of course this is coming from someone who has just started my blog but, that is my plan for my future blogging.

I have just started blogging mainstream. I have used Livejournal for quite sometime. Livejournal was always more of a Journal than a blog for me. So far, I am writing about 2 articles a day. I imagine that once I become more skilled at research and writing I will cut it back to one good article a day.

I think that posting too often waters down your content because you are probably rewording what has already been said somewhere else. In my opinion, if you are going to do that, just do a daily link to all of the posts that you felt others would be interested in and disable your Google Adsense so you don’t reap the benefits of something that you never wrote. Just my opinion.
I prefer posting about every other week, as long I have time. I am not in “this” for the fame of writing. I am in “it” to trust spread my opinion, tips, and advance about things that just happen to pop into my head. In the next couple of days, I will be posting an article about buying HDTVs on Amazon. In another week or so I about my Samsung LN-4661F that I recently purchased. Some where in-between the two, I will be posting about Blu-ray Disc. Please look for them in the future.
