Barack Obama needs a Peace Prize like Custer needs Indians

We’ve all seen the headline. “In a shocker, Obama wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.” A shocker because it’s a complete disgrace to the prize and what it stands for. What has he done? He has attempted to make the world a better place, but that’s not specific. There are so many people that do that but we don’t hand out Nobel Prizes to them. This isn’t the first time they’ve screwed up with handing the seemingly prestigious prize to someone that didn’t deserve it. Jimmy Carter and Al Gore are in the same boat with Obama. A boat that needs to sink and not take anyone else on board.

Ten months in office is hardly enough time to make a significant influence on anything. Our unemployment rate rises, economy lowers, businesses close, and he tries to push a nearly 9 billion dollar health care plan. This doesn’t even create jobs. It puts more stress on doctors and makes students wanting to go to med school think twice about their profession. Perhaps it would be in the best interest of Obama to give the prize back if that’s possible. Either that or donate the $1 million to an AIDS foundation where people are actually making a difference.
