Speaking of offshoring, Windows 7/Server 2008 were essentially outsourced to India and China (IE has been developed in those places for some time).

Notice how Microsoft is laying off thousands of Americans, followed by trying to sponsor all the H1-B visas they can (bring in foreign programmers here), and they outsource whatever they can’t cover with H1-Bs.

The only Americans you see are the PR bloggers and the team managers.

You don’t think they will be selling many Buick Lacrosse models for $37,605, the price shown in the tiny print? It makes one wonder what you get for the starting price of $27,850? Steering wheel and tires are extra! LOL

Saw a Buick commrcial on television (which I rarely turn on). If they really wanted to sell the bloody things, they’d lower their prices back to something within reason, instead of trying to make such a gross margin.
