SUPERAntiSpyware Online Safe Scan – Scan Your System For Free With No Installation Required

IMHO – No matter which anti-virus software you use, it is always a good idea to scan your system with another software product.

We poor PC users have been saddled with the pain staking task of trying to keep our systems virus free for many years. We all have chosen a specific product to protect our systems and we rely on that product to protect us from the bugs and critters that can infect us all. We also realize that there is no one single software product that can provide us with 100% protection, everyday, every month and every year. So we must rely on our wits and knowledge to keep our systems clean.

I have chosen a plan that in which I select a different online scanner each month to check my system for bugs. This month I am using SUPERAntiSpyware located at the link below to check my computers for viruses. The software is provided free for home users and does not install anything on your computer. You just run the program and let it do its thing.

If you chose the complete scan option, be patient. It took almost two hours to check my personal computer. Your time will vary depending on how many files you have on your system. There is also a Quick Scan option available. :-)

Ron, I’ve been using the paid version of SAS for several years now. It does a splendid job. I wouldn’t be w/o it. Unlike Spybot S&D, which I still use occassionally as well, it always finds shit. I’d recommend it to anyone. The program is virtually foolproof and glitch free AND has real-time protection, which is great. One caveat. The providers can be testy if you e-mail with any questions.

Just did a scan. Total scan time for two 300G drives is 15:29 with i7 processor.

    Hi Buffet,
Thanks very much for the information. The paid version I am sure runs faster than the free. Plus an i7 ? WOW!
