Microsoft Is Right – Google Causes Search Overload – Hits 72% Of All Searches

Posted by on Dec 9, 2009 | 2 Comments

Microsoft may be doing Google a service saying we are all suffering from search overload. The more commercials Microsoft runs, the higher Google goes in the search ratings. The search figures for October to November 2009 actually show that the ‘overloads’ continued to use Google, while Bing usage actually dropped. And what about Yahoo? They dropped as well.

It is easy to tell why Apple commercials are so successful. They attack Microsoft and Windows at their weak spots. Promises that are made with each new release about a better product has been the main thrust of all Window release since Windows was in knickers. So why isn’t Microsoft attacking Google on their weak points?

So what do you think? Does Microsoft need a different direction on their Bing commercials? How should they attack Google?

I think Microsoft need to completely overhaul there ad campaigns. Any time you see a Microsoft ad it is weak, weather it is for Bing or Windows 7. They are never anything impressive, just showing off some gadgets that it has, but never really enforcing the reason why I should be using the product.

If I was just the average Joe who uses his computer to check my emails every day, the Windows 7 ’7 Seconds Demo’ ad’s would not make me budge at all.

Just my opinion but. . .

Some of the commercials are funny. I vote they keep em.
