Not more than 2 weeks later an employee at another store nearby confirmed said computer was NOW on sale for $499. I believe Best Buy needs to be taught the definition of a sale. The sale price cannot be more than the regular price in the same month let alone 2 weeks. Also an item has to be available at regular price for a set time before it can be considered to go on "sale/." I could buy it and return it and when they put it out as an "open boxed item," or similar wording of returned merchandise) I could conceivably recoup that $50 faux mark-up. Or I could just say screw Best Buy altogether and peruse Fry's and maybe build my own machine and spend the time doing that than contacting my state's Attorney General on Consumer Affairs.
