We would need to follow the price for a used copy of this game in ebay to know if the deal is worth it. Regardless, this might be something that could boost initial sales, but hurt publishers in the long run as there could be a flood of used trades in the market. On a different note... console makers have to hurry up and offer even bigger hard-disks for their systems. At the end, we would all benefit from a larger digital distribution system. Publishers could lower the price of new titles to the $40-50 range because there would be lower distribution costs and a larger long-run market since there would less second-hand games out in the market. Besides, this would be awesome for all of us who like to keep a copy of the game we buy - if it is digital (and assuming that it is attached to your account and that you would be able to re-download it in the future) it is your forever, no disks to get scratched, lost or stolen.
