Windows 7 Sucks
Things it cant do:
it cant play old games
It cant run old applications
When it runs them it runs them twice
Updates sks
Tiny XP rules

I likw Windows 7 too, but my main problem with it is the file system / windows explorer. If you notice when ever you use it, favourites and homegroup etc always stay at the top, so everything else gets pushed down the screen this can be very annoying when file browsing.

The main reason for this seems t o be so that people don’t get “lost” in the “filesystem”, but for people (tech users etc) who are experienced this can be frustrating.

I really hope they fix this, or allow for turning off showing favourites, homegroup and libraries always at the top.

I love windows 7 I never did the Hista i called it pista…I’m glad I waited…No going back to XP for me…I love this OS its fast smooth and speedy….In my opinion Mac is good for cgi graphics for the movies….LOL

I agree. Give us back the classic start menu and classic folders and give us an easy way to disable/uninstall all the eye candy. I don’t use my computer for photos and music and it seems that 7 is geared toward that with the libraries, etc. The OS seems stable, but the interface sucks and Aero, to me, is useless. Give me my rainy day theme anytime. Thankfully, I think 3rd party vendors will answer the call.

I agree, win7 is leaner, faster, better. I used vista since it came out, it was more stable than XP. But 7 IS better.
Some quircks: I used in xp and vista a lot of toolbars, the toolbars that you could pin to the sides of your screen, the top, etc.

7 does not have those, i miss them. 7 does not have classic start menu. CSM is/was much faster and much easier to use.

The ideal?: 7 taskbar + pinnable/unpinable toolbars + CSM!!!

I agree with you. I just bought a emachine with windows 7.. I absolutely love it. It’s quick, stable, everything just seems to work well and it has real nice features. I was really blown away at how good it is as well as my new emachine with 6 gig of ram..

I’ve heard a lot of good things about W7. What I can’t understand is why I can pick up an Acer Aspire Laptop with W7 Home Premium installed from MicroCenter for $350 (on sale), but the OS alone is (W7 Home Premium) is $200!

There’s definitely something out of kilter when a great OS like Ubuntu, Linux Mint or PCLOS can be had for free of charge or a small donation, but M$ insists on charging so much for their product. With their market share and volume of sales, one would think that the price of the OS alone would be more reasonable.

I’m not trying to be a tight-wad here, I just don’t understand the math.

Vista was WinME, all over again…An unfinished, unpolished OS released to the masses to find the bugs- that info used to fine-tune 7.

Best thing to do with MS, if you wish to use it, is to leapfrog & install every other version.
