If Intel chip sell cheaper, I definitely will not think twice go for Intel.
So, what does it tell you? AMD should focus more on technology innovation, try to come up with ultra lower energy consumption cpu without scarifying power within is key to compete.
So far, AMD fail in all areas. Desktop CPU, Laptop CPU, netbook CPU are all not much batter than Intel. Since it's money and resources limited, AMD should amalgamated the engineering and science team from Desktop and laptop, focus on one CPU for both. A CPU with Quad core or more run only 12W and begin with 2.8Ghz to as high as 4.0 ghz. I guarantee they will knock Intel to the floor at least for the next 12 months.

I don't think this will help them much. I was immediately put off by the naming itself. It implies that I'm an idiot. At the same time, there are a lot of loud mouth pundits out there that will actively take a bias and tell people, who actually would otherwise respond to the naming scheme, what they think and if they're like me they aren't very impressed with 2 mb of L2 cache and don't reckon that the gpu helping out with decoding is a big deal.

Maybe this is the steps AMD has to take now in order to be taken seriously later when things on this front really move, but I don't think its anything to say "wow" about whatsoever, and the days of consumers giving into marketing is sort of on its way out. Word of mouth is where the win is.
