Apple Says iPhone Explosions, Cracking Caused By Outside Pressure

Apple is assuring their iPhone clients that the rash of explosions and cracked screens which are happening in Europe, is being caused by outside pressure on the units. The hardware is safe for use according to an Apple representative which confirmed the problems being reported in France and other areas of Europe.
According to an article at Bloomberg it states:
“In all cases the glass cracked due to an external force that was applied to the iPhone,” Alan Hely, a London-based spokesman for Apple Europe, said in an e-mail. “There are no confirmed battery overheating incidents for iPhone 3GS and the number of reports we are investigating is in the single digits.”
Apple, based in Cupertino, California, has sold 26 million iPhones since introducing the product in 2007. France was one of four markets where it introduced its newest model of the multimedia mobile phone, the iPhone 3GS, this summer. Europe accounts for about a fifth of Apple’s revenue.
So if one believes the Apple source all is well with the iPhone.

I also heard this news when I was talking to my fren in UK about Iphone batteries. And he let me know about this and I was quite surprised to find this. Maybe Apple will soon, find out and give a proper explanation of this. or We will live in fear of this happening again.
