The Xbox 360 - You Are Having A Great Experience!

You may recall that the folks over at Game Informer had surveyed some 5,000 Xbox 360 users, and they stated that 54.2% of respondents said their systems failed. But what is really strange is that Microsoft didn’t even try to refute the allegations, which is not their traditional M.O.

A Microsoft rep. did state that:

Microsoft stands behind the Xbox 360 as a superior entertainment console with one of the best warranties in the industry. We are constantly improving the design, manufacture and performance of the console through extensive testing of potential sources of any problems. Xbox 360 is pleased to maintain the title of ‘most played console’ and the vast majority of Xbox 360 customers have enjoyed a terrific gaming and entertainment experience since their first day, and continue to, day in and day out.

Just because Microsoft didn’t respond strongly is not an indication that the survey is correct. A sampling of just 5,000 is not exactly a true representation of the millions who own Xbox 360 units.

Good news is that the rumors of a price drop for the Xbox 360 are most likely true. There is now an ad being circulated from Target which shows the Xbox 360 Pro for $250 and the Elite for $300. I have also seen other ads from Wal Mart that seem to confirm this pricing as well.

It’s too late for Microsoft to totally redesign the Xbox 360 as a superior entertainment console.

We were beaten into submission by angry customers into extending the warranties to cover the massive failure rate after we tried everything else for over a year before that point, including blaming the customers for the overheating.

We still won’t acknowledge the disc scratching issues, and will blame you for moving the console while it’s on or has a disc in the drive instead. Replacements of the games our console eats are readily available at the low low price of $60.

If you continue complaining, we may offer you one of three crappy launch titles such as Perfect Dark Zero or Kameo: Elements of Power to replace your copy of Gears of War that the unit ate.

We are constantly behind the PS3’s design. Instead we focus on manufacturing as many of the consoles as possible, ignoring potential sources of any problems.

Xbox 360 is pleased to continue abusing customers while research we paid for has determined that we hold the title of ‘most played console’. Microsoft loves trying to cover up bad products like Vista and XBOX 360 while it borrows money to cover its expenditures for Windows 7 advertising in a business plan that is all too reminiscient of Enron.

The vast majority of Xbox 360 customers have enjoyed a terrific number of red rings of death since their first day, and continue to, day in and day out.

If you experience problems, please call 1-800-4-my-xbox, and after an hour on hold listening to the Halo 3 theme music, the barely-English-speaking customer care agents will walk you through the process of unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.

We would also like to take this opportunity to announce the next XBOX console, now with mandatory Internet Explorer.

As always, thank you for integrating yourself into Microsoft products.

Much better.
