Twitter Is Under A DOS Attack

Denial of Service Attack
On this otherwise happy Thursday morning, Twitter is the target of a denial of service attack. Attacks such as this are malicious efforts orchestrated to disrupt and make unavailable services such as online banks, credit card payment gateways, and in this case, Twitter for intended customers or users. We are defending against this attack now and will continue to update our status blog as we continue to defend and later investigate.
The system may be slow while Twitter tries to recover and defend itself from other DOS attacks.

What a horrendous turn of events. What a sad day for …for … for those who waste their time trying to keep track of how someone else walks through the mundane tasks of their day.
We can only hope that some greater good will come from this. We can only… yeah, you know where this is going. WHO CARES!
