If I’m not online, then my computer is being used for entertainment or word processing. However, I’m generally doing those things combined with online activities. I bet my “offline” time on the computer is less than 10%

As a newbie independent publisher (on & offline), I spend 85 to 100% of my time online. I use online collaboration programs to edit manuscripts, email – of course, online marketing and more. I spend so much time online with work that I don’t have much time to goof off with games and have little personal time to spare.

Ballmer is seriously out of touch with a lot of small biz folk.

It really depends on what I’m doing each day. I’ve spent entire days making videos for YouTube (how-to tech videos) and some days I spend the whole day uploading them (my internet sucks butt) and other days I spend a lot of time on Facebook, other times I end up spending all my day reading articles off here (lol) and other times I spend a combination of everything as well as some Word work or some iMovie work.

Overall, I would say at least 75% of my time on the computer(s) is spent online. I can assure you that whenever I have Internet access, Tweetie is open (on the Mac) and I am reading any new Tweets that come in. Whenever I don’t have Internet access… SuperTux and SuperTuxKart!

Getting back to the point …>80% of my computer time’s spent on the net; much of the rest is spent watching downloaded movies on my GOM player–only because browser based streaming players suck.

For me, that is untrue during the summer

doing school year

i do homework, but then i may still spend more than 50%computer time on internet

but in the summer

probably 80% is like watching youtube, checking email, reading lockergnome blogs..
