I think that Firefox acquired a bigger market share, but IE, despite of versioning, still has a quite predominant position.

If you do have reservations about Firefox, you can clone IE's interface with IE8Fox and Glasser, and even use the official Bing search engine add-on for Firefox, from Microsoft.

I think Microsoft just needs to either fix Internet Explorer to where the users can write extensions for it with the same ease as Firefox and to where it respects real web standards instead of Microsoft gimmicks, or just discontinue it and tell people to use Firefox. Somehow, I don't ever see anyone kicking IE to the curb then coming back.
