Will The “Angus Third Pounders” Change Your Life?

When McDonald’s introduces a new burger, it becomes a world event worth mentioning. But when there are three versions of the new burger one has to say ‘WOW’! The three versions of the new burgers are; deluxe with American cheese, lettuce and tomato, a Swiss and mushroom burger and finally a bacon - cheese offering. Pricing for all of the new burgers is $3.99.

But are these new burgers going to be enough to compete against the likes of Burger King’s Steakhouse Burger or Carl Juniors Six Dollar Burger? I ate a bacon - cheese McDonald’s 1/3 pounder yesterday for lunch. I was not overly impressed. But before you start to throw rocks, I’m not a big fan of either Burger Kings or Carl’s offerings either.

I have my own favorites that have taken years of testing, tasting and deciding.

McDonald’s it is the double cheese burger.

Burger King is the whopper.

Carl’s Jr. is the bacon, western, cheese burger.

French fries? Only McDonald’s need apply. LOL

I agree with your statements about the fries and McDonald’s cheeseburgers…they are the best….umm, but I’d have to disagree with you on the 1/3 pounders…I’ve had the pleasure of trying the Angus with the mushroom and was very satisfied.

I’m not very familiar with Carl’s, never seen one here in Miami, fl. We do however have 5 guys, whose burgers and fries are simply amazing.

How about Hardee’s ? Carl’s Jr. bought them out and are slowly, and I mean slowing, changing them over to a menu like Carl’s Jr.

The Hardees here got closed down by the board of health, I know of Hardees locations in a few other towns near here that have also been shut down.

Ranges from vermin/insect infestation to Hepatitis outbreaks.

Then of course there’s videos that leak out about Pizza Hutt and Dominos employees sticking your order of breadsticks up…..yeah

If you look too hard, you’ll never eat anything that you didn’t grow yourself again.

Scratch Hardees off the list ! LOL

Being a bodybuilder, I never eat fast food swill. The best burgers are the ones you make and cook at home. Honorable mention should go to Beef O’brady’s “Big Burger”, and Applebee’s “Brewtus” burger, accompanied by a baked potato or spinach salad.
