I hope that Windows 7 doesn’t suck like Vista did, especially the hope premium version because that one really bit the dust. I hope my ($200.00 + Tax) will be well worth buying for the home premium version. If not I am switching to Mac OS X!

What’s your assessment sir? I’m still completely enamored with my XP. Are you going for the 7?

I may preorder it.
What I’m afraid of is that they’ll poison it with more DRM and copy control horsecrap and make it even more useless than Vista for digital video and music.
Remember Vista already artificially degrades Blu Ray movies unless you have an expensive HDMI monitor, and a expensive HDMI video card.
And they didn’t toss in the worst parts of Vista DRM til the last minute.
Could the Windows 7 RC be a psiren song to lull users into thinking Windows 7 won’t be more vicious than Vista?

Hi Buffet,
Good question. I’ll be buying a new laptop in November for my wife and I’m sure it will come with 7. But as far as my other systems? Only my laptop will support 7 and if I do upgrade it will be to 7 Pro so I can take advantage of XP mode. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, I am actually happy with Vista on my laptop. I have SP2 running and my system works just fine. I ‘m using 4 GB of RAM, 3 GB built in and 1GB using Ready Boost on a SD.
Have a good weekend

Probably not upgrading anytime soon, I’m still happy with my XP Pro. I just don’t want to be the guinea pig of another failure (assuming it is).

Hello Diamonds,
I believe that many people will stick with XP until they are forced to replace their older systems. As I mentioned, I still have two systems running XP and they will continue to do so until I replace the systems or they blow up. LOL

As long as there is a market, black or otherwise, for a particular commodity, OS’s included, there will be will be someone to sell it to you.
