Google To Advertise Chrome On TV This Weekend

Google is announcing their plan to advertiser their browser, Chrome, on TV this weekend. The search giant will be showing an ad which was originally developed by their team in Japan. On the Google blog site they have the video available to take a sneak peek at the ad. According to the Google team it states that:

So today, we’re pleased to announce that we’re using Google TV Ads to run our Chrome ad on various television networks starting this weekend. We’re excited to see how this test goes and what impact television might have on creating more awareness of Google Chrome.

Check out the video below if you haven’t already seen it, or wait and you might see it on TV while you’re channel surfing!

I’ve been using Google chrome for the past month without any problems. I decided to give the browser a try since Firefox was still eating RAM like crazy. Chrome doesn’t appear to have this problem.

Comments welcome.

Chrome’s my default browser for months, currently using the beta version, it’s the best browser i know to date. The RAM issue is killing FF3, and IE is out of the question.

I’ve been playing around with Chrome 2 Beta for a couple days, the only thing it misses is an adblock plugin.

But I installed Privoxy and set up HTTP and HTTPS at 127.0.0.1 port 8118 and just let it filter everything that goes through it.

I’ve noticed that Privoxy does a lot more to filter out privacy violating crap (not just limited to ads) than Adblock Plus does.

Been using chrome since the start, its clean and to the point, no extra BS… the home page is perfect for me since i only visit a few site on a daily bases… only problem I get is when I use facebook…

I’ll be watching for them, Google’s commercials are always good.

I’m usually using Netscape Navigator 9, ’cause it’s easy to use and instead for Firefox, but NS 9 have some minor problems. Google Chrome runs just fine, but I aren’t so happy about the theme and totally freezes sometimes for some reason, I don’t know why, but I think I gonna go back to Chrome after hearing this :)
