War Of The Wireless Phones Coming Our Way

Recessions are usually looked upon in a negative way. But for those of us who have survived previous recessions, economic slowdowns, busts and booms we know one thing. In tough economic times there are going to be bargains. As we enter further into 2009 companies in different technologies, businesses ventures, restaurants, whatever, will be looking for ways to seduce us into buying their products or eating their food.

We have already seen the $1 value menu’s from the fast food chains. It is kind of ironic that all the fast food restaurants now have a $1 menu. I made comment to my wife that before 2009 ends, we most likely can expect a .79 cent menu. Maybe even lower. Does anyone remember when Mc D’s burgers were .15 cents and fries were a dime?

Now that everyone of us now has a cell phone, there are very few new customers for the cell providers to go after. What now? Lower the rates of course. There is a high probability that during the next few months we may see some fairly attractive offers.

I received an email from AAA which I am a member. They were offering Direct TV at an attractive discount when you sign up with Direct TV and give them your membership number. The savings according to AAA was $240.
