Windows 7 UAC Security Flaw - Get Over It Already!

During the past few weeks there has been much being made of the fact that a hacking script could be used to turn off UAC in Windows 7. One would of thought that this alleged flaw would be tantamount to the end of the world. Some writers and bloggers have used this issue to attract viewers to their site[s]. Others just like to bash Microsoft because it is fashionable to do so.
I personally don’t give a rats ass whether UAC works or not. I have it disabled on my Vista box because it is an annoyance. What is forgotten is that it was an outcry among users that UAC was a pain and should be eliminated or toned down in the first place. So Microsoft listened to those who hated UAC and has toned down how UAC functions in Windows 7.
The bottom line is that a user has to run the untrustworthy program for this to happen. There my friends is where the real problem is. I have stated before that some folks should not be allowed to use a computer. They treat their computer as a toy and hamper the rest of us by allowing their unprotected systems to connect to the Internet while they spew out viruses, malware and other junk. These are the same people who don’t keep their systems protected by updating their anti-virus or other defense programs.
Just my 2 cents.

Heh, there’s one word people need to remember when they find stuff like that in Windows 7.
BETA
It’s still in BETA right now, companies put out BETAs so people can find flaws like that and the company can patch it up before the final product is released.
