Intel Says The iPhone Doesn’t Run ‘The Full Internet’
Intel is having one of its tantrums because the iPhone by Apple uses a chip from ARM. So in retaliation they claim that the iPhone using an ARM chip ‘aren’t man enough to run the Internet’. Which is humorous since the iPhone is extremely popular and has helped Apple in its profit line last quarter. Though the iPhone doesn’t use Flash, it is still a powerful device even when using a ARM chip.
Intel and Apple seem to be at odds. Heck. Intel even pissed off Microsoft when it stated it would not embrace Vista. According to this article it states that:
Intel has been trying to wedge its way into future mobile computers by taking on ARM, which designs cores that power more than 90 percent of all mobile phones in the world. Its argument is that since the PC-based Internet experience is run by Intel’s x86 architecture, that’s the only possible solution for future sophisticated mobile computers.
If you feel sorry for Intel, you can send them a check to help them while they cry in their beer. ![]()
