		<description>I believe it&#039;s not about running after search per say. If there was a different avenue with similar revenue prospects, Microsoft would have been up for that challenge as well. In fact if I was leading a company like Microsoft I would have done the same. The bigger picture is monitarization of ad based revenue. Right now online search is a premier destination for users when they go online. Since, Google dominates that destination currently - it also has a prominent say in the price tag for advertisements. Unless Google is challenged they will have ubiquity in the online ad business. I believe in the online world, the longer users are retained in your properties, the larger is your business.</description>
