But what else can you say but "what about my freedom"? In my high school government class, my instructor talked about freedom and how in America, no one has absolute freedom. He used the example that any one has the freedom to swing their arms around, but when you swing those arms around to the point where they land in someone's face, then your freedom infringes on that person's freedom, so we do not have absolute freedom so that one person's freedom doesn't infringe on someone else's freedom. However, I would consider this the point where Sweden is swinging it's arms, namely fists, in the international internet user's face. Freedom? What about my freedom. I guess I'm going to do some learning about encryption algorithms.

I'm sure America already does the same thing. Just without letting it's users know about it. From my point of view, anytime you are using a service that is not controlled 100% by you, such as internet, phone, etc. It's already vulnerable for screening, either by the government or hackers/etc. We just not being told about it, because the next thing you going to hear is "what about my freedom"

I find it somewhat alarming that Sweden chose to do this. We've come to expect it from totalitarian regimes like the UK and US, but Sweden?

This says to me that something's up.
Switzerland's probably next.

Btw, the assertion that one needs this type of spying and privacy invasion because of terrorism is a false one. It has been planted in our heads by gov't over the ages but nowhere near as badly as the current regime, post its 9-11 false flag operation.

Don't eat the brown acid!
