New Dell Blog Called ‘Your Blog’
Dell has a new blog site being manned by Dell employees who are sharing some of their experiences and advice. In one article I read they were showing off the new laptops which included some nice art work and which they state are ready for sale. These new laptops add a touch of elegance to the boring gray/black colors of the past. On the blog it stated:
We are truly living in an age of self-expression. And when it comes to personal technology, from smart phones to laptops, we love to personalize. What we carry often defines us. It can tell others who we are, who we aspire to be and how we live our lives.
Since the beginning of Dell, we’ve taken pride in how we’ve enabled you to custom-create PCs that offer just the right functionality. But functionality is just a piece of what’s important – many of us want our PCs to reflect our individuality or a youthful style.
We think many computer aficionados will like how we’ve combined artist Mike Ming’s work with the compact Inspiron 1525 laptop. Inspired by the movement and abstract momentary communication from surfing, movement of water and the world around him, Ming’s work is vivid, empowering and playful.
It does appear that Dell is upping the ante on laptop systems. The company has previously mentioned they are targeting laptops system for added revenue.
Comments welcome.
Dells site is here.

Not sure if this is the place but here goes I ordered Vista Ultimate/SP1 and 4 sticks of 2Gig Ram to make a long story short I ordered on 8/22 and have been recieving emails daily telling me tomorrow the Genius who shipped it sticks one stick of ram in with my OS and the other 3 sticks in a seperate order???
I have already paid a tech to come and help me set this up but now my parts wont be here a week later through my own investigation (no help from dell) I found the RAm is the reason my order is being held up.
When I call in to re order but needing it overnighted I got no help I mean I was going to just repurchase the OS but since they would not Fedex it to me overnight there is no use as it will be too late.
In the past I have had stuff overnighted to me no hassell especially when dell dropped the ball not me so now not only did I get to pay an over-bloated price for the OS and RAM I am also out the $$$ to the tech too not to mention when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was dissconnected!
The icing on the cake is I got an email today telling me to expect it today but when I finallly got the DHL tracking number it is sitting in Salt Lake nearly 800 miles from my home of course I have been getting emails telling me delivery due tomorrow since last Friday
At this point I am a dell customer for about 10 years and have bought several systems and would have purchased more no doubt as I have two sons in college but since I get absolutly no help and nobody cared I will now refuse to accept this shipment if and when it ever gets here and will pay off my current XPS system and dell can kiss my grits as far as future purchases go
