Firefox Preloader Does Work

Firefox Preloader is a program that loads part of the browser into memory which enables Firefox to load faster. It does work. It is like kicking Firefox in the pants when you start it up. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Download Firefox Preloader from here.

It may work, but doesn’t the fact that any sort of preloading is needed indicate that Firefox is turning into the pig the original coders said it would never be?
The people who load all manner of stuff into their Firefox setups tend to keep the browser open all the time, so the first start up taking longer is not such a big thing, or is it?

If you are looking for a Gecko browser that has this functionality built-in give SeaMonkey a try. In the program preferences, go to the advanced section and you will have to ability to keep in loaded in memory.

I tried it out, and boy am I sorry I did. The first thing that happened is my system would freeze every time I brought up Firefox. I have a pretty hefty system, so there is no reason this should be occurring. I then uninstalled the program, and my system is continuing to crash, every time I engage Firefox. I will look things over, but I may to reformat.

Ron~
I’m getting it to work just fine…maybe the version ShadowMyth is using is a tad out of date or something…I am using the newest version of Firefox Preloader along with Firefox 3 RC 3.
