Google & Microsoft Go After Digg? Nope - Just Rumors

All day long rumors have been surfacing all over the Internet that Google & Microsoft are going after Digg. Oh yeah. Two other companies were also thrown in for good measure. Well the CEO at Digg posted this entry on his blog:
Hey all,
Normally our policy is to not comment about things like this, but this morning’s rumors about a bidding war involving Google and Microsoft have created such a stir we feel compelled to tell you all directly that they are completely inaccurate.
Sorry to burst any drama theories, but they aren’t true. We remain focused on improving Digg and rolling out great features.

I hate to be more of a pessimist than I usually am, but who would want Digg? I know there’s money and all but seriously.They’re like second only to 4-chan in the least bearable website category…
