Let me first thank the folks over at Uniblue software for providing me with a full version of SpeedUpMyPC to test. As I previously mentioned, their Registry Booster 2 software only provided the ability for a limited number of registry repairs, which doesn’t provide the user a real feel of what the software can and can’t do.
Before I start, I have to confess something. I have always been very critical of any of these so called one fix softwares that promise to speed up your PC. So I was already prejudiced when I tried Speed Up My PC software thinking this would be a waste of time and energy. I was completely wrong. The folks at Uniblue have a software product that combines the best clean up features available. Yes, you can basically do many of the same functions manually using a variety of different software. But Speed Up My PC combines all of the following:
SpeedUpMyPC 3, Uniblue’s award-winning speed up computer solution, lets you monitor and control all your PC resources with easy, one click instructions. System settings, internet usage, disk clutter, RAM and CPU are all automatically scanned, cleaned and optimized for peak performance. You can also selectively disable or remove unnecessary background and auto-start processes to cut valuable seconds off your startup time.
Some of the features I liked were:
- The ability to set the priority on software and how much resources should be allocated to each.
- The ability to free up memory usage.
- The ability to totally remove and destroy a file via File Shredder.
- The ability to Uninstall what disk cleanup has removed.
So I do recommend Uniblue’s SpeedUpMyPC for those who want a software that does all of the above for them in one single package.
Oh yes. My PC did in fact run faster after I tweaked my system. But please read the FAQ’s provided by Uniblue. As with any software your mileage may vary. There is a trial package available but I am not sure which of the features may work or which do not.
Comments welcome.

Since my installation of RegistryBooster2 and SpeedUpMyPC3 I have had system crashes in Software that previously worked fine. Specifically Ancestry.com. I tried to report problem to Uniblue but was unable to get comment to “submit” from their webpage. They appear to have tech support overseas and the available times to call were all early a.m. At this point I’m very unhappy with my purchase and use of Uniblue software.

This is the second time over the last two years I downloaded uniblue s/w ran the free scan came up with a bunch of fixes needed which I am sure were not necesary and tried to remove it. Could not/would niot let me. Since I downloaded this supposedly safe produc t I’ve had nothing but problems and I do not suggest anyone download it. This is real spam! they create problems if you don’t have any to try and force you to buy it this way. I’ll be dambed, I’ll reload everything before I do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That the first time I download uniblue “trial”-tools an I think I go with Matthew M Murray. I tried other full versions which clean up my PC!? There must be something wrong. Often freeware is better then the sold once.
They just want to sell there programs.
Most of companies offering a full version for test for 30 or 60 days. Why UNIBLUE do not work in that manner?
