And in the computer business perception IS reality. Since MS starts these projects so far ahead of delivery time, I find it not unreasonable that the date may have been pushed forward (especially when you remember that Vista was technically very late in its arrival - according to earlier MS calendars, over a year at least.) Coupled with the fact that MS was willing to sell something that should never have been out of beta, means they just might do it again (compress the development time from both ends). The most telling thing about this is the many sites I've visited where a poll is taken, and the responder has a chance to see the results. I've seen many of these where big companies are (if we can believe the polls) going to sit this one out - using XP until the next revision comes out, since Vista has gotten such bad marks by the early adopters.
