Just a quick note:
I downloaded Firefox 3 beta 2 this morning and have been using it all day. So far it does appear that it is in fact using less memory. Fingers crossed!
Hats off to the Mozilla team for all of your work.
I look forward to the final release.

I homestly see no difference in memory. But for me it seems to take up less CPU.

Hi dustinlloyd,
With 2.0 after a days use leaving it open, I would use about 150MB to 200MB by the end of the day.
Yesterday using 3.0 I topped out at 74MB. Not to say that this is not still high, but appears to be somewhat improved thus far. I’ll continue to use it this week and see how things go.
Thanks for your input.

I’ll give it a shot, as I am trying the latest Opera beta also - this time I think it’s close to gold. All the speed of early alphas, with none of the rendering problems.
With Firefox, for me, it was always about the add-ons, so I hope the ones I used have been updated.

Hi Marc,
Most add ons and extensions have not been updated yet.
