Microsoft Having Touble Coming To The Surface

It seems that Microsoft is hitting a few bumps in the road in bringing its much anticipated Surface product to market. Though Microsoft claims there is high demand fro the $5,000 to $10,000 units, software problems seems to plague the company, since it is trying to build software for different partner needs. Also hardware is another issue in which the software giant is having issues with.
The latest word is that the units should be street ready by next spring. However, Microsoft is usually late with most things they introduce so a spring release could turn into a summer, fall, winter or maybe even a 2009 release. So, even though they have been working on the prototype for some four years, the Surface is having trouble getting to the surface.
Maybe Microsoft should of followed Google’s lead and formed an alliance of partners to help with development. Another thought. Why not use Linux instead of Windows? Or maybe contact Apple for help.
Microsoft sees a future in which Surface devices could be in every table, every desk, every mirror and even in white boards. It seems that Surface can be everywhere except in the market place.
I just like to give Microsoft a bad time since Ballmer always seems to like to pick on everyone else, especially Google. Which makes one wonder. Will Microsoft be able to hit the Surface before Google splashes in with their phone?
Comments welcome.
