Yesterday a buddy of mine and I were talking about computers, when the question came up about the difference between a PC and an Apple. He stated he was getting tired of having to keep updated all of the software necessary to keep a PC protected and was thinking about trying something different. So I surfed on over to Apple’s site to see what they had available and stumbled upon a MacBook which was refurbished and on sale for $799 with free shipping. After taking a look at the specifications, it met his basic needs for email, web surfing and some minor word processing.
The system which is on sale comes with the following:
13.3-inch glossy widescreen display
512MB memory
60GB hard drive
Combo drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW)
Built-in iSight camera
Long story short, my friend ordered one. I’m looking forward to seeing how well it works for him. He just bought a new house and we will be setting up a wireless broadband connection once he gets moved in.
See the $799 MacBook here.
Comments welcome.
PS Hurry. These refurbs go fast!

as its a refurb it will work without a hitch, having been through a bunch of testing to make sure that its definitely up to scratch.
my only suggestion is that your friend immediately upgrade the RAM to 1Gb
aside from that, so long as he doesnt need to burn DVDs or have oodles of music and pictures he’ll be fine.
