Back To Church For Sony Corporation

Posted by on Jun 10, 2007 | 3 Comments

No matter how big of a corporation you are, the last thing you want to do is tick off a church. This seems to be what the people at Sony have done when they introduced their Playstation 3 game ‘Resistance Fall Of Man” Seems that the game pictures the interior of Manchester Cathedral without anyone at Sony asking if it was OK. Now the Church of England is in a rife demanding something be done.

So what is all of the fuss about? Well the game during the indoor church scenes depicts rival gangs shooting it out inside of the church. Worse yet is that hundreds of people inside of the church are slaughtered as well. The Church of England upon viewing the game states that this is not the type of image that should be presented to young people and are demanding an apology and also that the game be with drawn.

This has to be a real stupid blunder by the game makers at Sony. Who in their right mind would use a back drop of a church for a shoot out and include folks being gunned down by the hundreds? What kind of a message are we sending to the youth of the world by putting out this type of garbage in the first place?

I personally hope that the Church of England prevails in this matter and gets Sony to pull this junk off the market.

Whats your take? Do you think the Church of England should be concerned? Are should they just blow this off?

Comments welcome.

As if, I don’t know what to say, but I kind of figured this day would come soon. He has made a huge impact on the progress as Apple as a company and an inspiration to many. I haven’t heard about it recently but I hope he is winning his fight with cancer.

Nice, well I think it’s easy to say apple will still succeed and continue to impress at least for a few more years. Steve jobs is still in apple and will still have his influence for some time I think.
