The Return Of The Commodore PC - First Europe, Then The Rest Of The World

I guess many of us started out on a Commodore 64 computer system like I did, since this was the first computer system I actually carried home in a box. That was in 1985 and it was on sale at Montgomery Wards for only $699.00, what a deal! You didn’t get a whole lot for the price. Basically the computer was built inside a keyboard box. No hard disk, no mouse, no speakers, no monitor, no nothing but the box and a floppy drive.

The thing I remember most about the C64 was a game I played on it. The game was a flying simulator. Everything was controlled by the keyboard. You had to fly from one spot to another and land, using coordinates only to navigate. Compared to today’s games, it was crude. Just a plain screen with a X representing the plane, numbers for altitude and direction, and squares representing the air fields.

But it seems their is a new breed of Commodore being released to the British and Irish public first, which appears to represent the state of the art gaming PC needed for today’s high-end systems. The Commodore XX model for sale online is described as:

The Commodore xx doesn’t just blur the line between gaming and reality, it redefines it. The fastest, most powerful Gaming PC money can buy, this world ending device will serve you and your gaming needs without even breaking so much as a sweat for some good time to come.
