I admit it. I’m a Google addict. So yesterday when I fired up my Google Personalized Homepage, I noticed something new. Up in the right hand top corner was a listing for “New-Select Theme”. All right. A new toy to play with. And I must admit I was tiring of the standard boring page that met me each day. So I was ready for something sizzling to dress up my start page.

So Google now offers six new themes for users to try. Beside the classic, they offer Beach, Bus Stop, City Scape, Sweet Dreams, Tea House and Seasonal Scape. One may think, big deal. What’s so great about that? Well do you really think the folks at Google are that lame?

Nope. They have added some surprises to the themes. Not only do you get a new look, but it changes as well. I tried the beach scene and it changes depending on the time of the day and your own personalized location settings. In the AM I saw a sunrise then last night a sunset which corresponded to where I live. And the theme changed all during the day. The other themes also have similar type options.
Heh Google! Nice touch. You guys are good! My compliments.
