For those of you who still are using Windows 98, my good friend and fellow MVP Ron Badour, has a great web site which covers all of the ins and outs of this operating systems. Ron has been posting his tips and tricks since Windows 98 was first introduced and he also posts his expertise on the Microsoft forums dedicated to 98.
I first became friends with Ron back when I was still using 98, and over the years have found his expertise quite helpful. And he has continued to offer sound advice while maintaining a great source of information referencing the older OS.
What can you find on Ron’s site:
Under his tips section he has solutions for some of the common problems that we all had faced with 98 like, CD auto run not working, changing ownership name, disabling the logo screen at boot, expanding sub folders, faster booting, modem problems, removing obsolete programs from the start list and much, much more.
So stop by and take a look at Ron’s site and take advantage of his knowledge.
One last note. Many of the tips on Ron’s site require editing the registry. Be careful.

If it wasn’t for Windows 98, I wouldn’t have learned half the stuff I know today. Or should I say because of Windows 98……………
